PROJECT TITLE: “ENSURING VISIBILITY”
Project period:  6 months, starting in May or June 2008
Short Project description: The project aims to enhance visibility of youth projects of SYC through development of corresponding tools and methods, work with media, using internet resources, organizing special events.
 
The volunteers will share the following responsibilities:
-         Work with media (develop press releases and articles on SYC events, work with local TV channels)
-         Develop, edit and update of SYC web site
-         Update contacts data bases
-         Disseminate the results of the projects to local partners, youth, community and international partners  through egroups, web space, photo galleries, exhibitions, audio-visual products
-         Organize events for sharing the outcomes of SYC projects (e.g. press conferences, meeting with young people, NGO representative, government, etc.)
-         Develop and edit publications and promoters (stickers, brochures, leaflets, posters, t-shirt designing, etc.)
-         Help with logistics and program elements of SYC international youth projects (exchanges, seminars, trainings)
-         Represent SYC in various meetings, international events
-         Other tasks according to interests of volunteers
 
The final responsibilities of the organizations will be developed with the selected volunteers considering their interests and skills.
 
The EVS project will take place in Stepanavan. Volunteers will have the possibility to travel in Armenia, get acquainted with Armenian culture and develop language skills in Armenian and in Russian (almost everyone speaks Russian in Armenia).
 
Language classes will be organized for volunteers. Volunteers will share an apartment with other volunteers and will get a food allowance.
