Aims of Event
1.) Practice of non formal education through theatrical activities in Poland and in the world - the effects of various forms of non formal education: positive sides, possibilities of non formal education, barriers and imperfections.
2.) Drama education and equalization of chances
3.) The issue of recognition of experiences, skills and competences acquired through non formal education. Its significance for employers, usefulness for a young person in their professional life, in the job market etc.
4.) The issue of "European education space" (the analysis of selected programmes).
5.) Non formal education in the process of creation and development of a civic society.

Objectives

- To provide space for participants to explore and strengthen their confidence and understanding of themselves as the basis for learning and interaction.
- To identify existing common grounds between the participants´ realities on different levels.
- To provide an opportunity to develop new skills and competences, as well as reinforcing existing ones – especially those regarding personal communication, interaction, and intercultural comprehension.
- To inspire fascination and willingness to explore new theatre working methods especially in intercultural projects.
- To prepare the field for future collaborations including projects with a local impact, or within the frame of the Programme. Youth in Action
- To encourage local community to cooperate by informing local youth leaders about the results of the conference
- To obtain information about new European education plans.
- To exchange experiences through presentation of the most interesting drama projects from various countries, promote good practice.
- To search together common solutions of the issue of recognition of experiences acquired through non formal education. Presentation of the existing methods and searching new ones.

Working Methods
Non formal education techniques will be utilised throughout the programme to ensure that everyone is engaged, interested, has fun and learns as much as possible. Conference for the local community will be organised.

Participants Profile:

24 participants from all around Europe, program countries only
Participants should:
•Have some knowledge and/or experience of theatre youth work
Have an interest and willingness to develop Youth Programme activities
•Be able to attend the full duration of the training course

Organizer's profile/framework of activity
The essence of Wrocław Centre of Children’s Creativity activities is shaping children’s creative personalities using activities in various fields of art. It is our belief that every child possesses recognized and unrecognized talents, artistic gifts and it is instructor’s task to reveal a child’s true potential and to present situations where creative mind can be nurtured. Activities are conducted by highly qualified pedagogues and artist with great teaching instincts. The Centre: - runs artistic workshop for children and youth aged 2-18 - patronizes charity events, - organizes international integration theatre projects, - participates in the process of building and shaping local identity, - supports(in respect of the merits) out teachers and artists working with children, - cooperates with other educational centers in Poland and abroad, - enables volunteers to gain their first professional experience.
